Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Your Second Season Bingo Cards — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video this week, and audience theories has been intense.

The first season introduces a diverse group of characters residing in Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds with musical numbers about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and emotional bonds that drive audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Will a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the binding agreement constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the showrunner stated earlier this year. "But I feel like me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how quickly the new season moves, and how much of what they're anticipating happens now.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some incredible reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a couple people make a prediction grid about season 2," she says. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've already completed some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on Prime Video on October 29.
