The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Table

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a wide array of personalities, and a gripping narrative showcasing angels, evil spirits, and sinister influences expanding in influence within the city.

Heads-up: Key plot points for the latest installment of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

Episode 3 ended with a dramatic pause and revealed the first table of adventurers who will split off from the primary party to undertake their separate journey, distinct from the other two tables.

This warrior group consists of the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis), Thimble (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

With an extensive roster, it was evident from the outset that having everyone at a single group would be impossible.

That’s why, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, weaving together the characters’ stories before dividing into three separate parties: Soldiers, Schemers, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for players who are drawn to a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where diplomatic options are rare.

Upon first impression, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might look mismatched, but the events of episode 3 demonstrate why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the party understands precisely where to head next after a intense first encounter with the enemy group.

A former ally of Thjazi—whose death initiated the campaign’s events—manipulated the foes for his selfish purposes, invading Thjazi’s hideout, attacking Thimble, and taking all the powerful objects to dispose of.

The traitor then settled his liabilities and escaped to a fortified location in the northern region, beyond the urban center, with Cyd pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each member has a specific drive to leave the city the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and best friend, desires vengeance.
  • The adventurer knows the region and advises that it is a nasty environment.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having resisted his relatives’ demands to eliminate the fighter and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • But, their status as prominent individuals in the powerful family could enable the group access areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Moreover, The fighter pledged a eternal obligation to The cleric for his salvation and will now go with him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the powers that govern the city for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are known criminals.
  • The warrior and The healer betrayed House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by the family.

This results in them little choice but to head to the remote area in pursuit of Casimir.

What’s Next?

Based on the latest episode’s post-show segment, we discover that the Soldiers table will be absent the following episode, leaving the remaining eight participants to assemble the Questers and Schemers tables.

Fans can anticipate discovering which adventurers will be in which group in the season’s concluding setup installment, released on the upcoming Thursday.
